Bulbs for Spring Planting ..................(effectively Summer Bulbs)


Anomotheca laxa - tiny bright red iris relative, easy, self sows in sunny dry spot 4" - £1 each

 

Brodiaea 'Queen Fabiola' - the star of my garden in June, brightest blue, people think it is a little agapanthus, no leaves to speak of when it blooms, hardy 15" - Sold Out, sorry

 

Crocosmia 'Emily Mckenzie' - wide open burnt orange flowers late summer, hardy 24" 3/£1

 

Crocosmia 'Geroge Davison' - clear yellow flowers in late summer, hardy 24" - Sold Out

 

Gladiolus 'Blackjack' - dark purple-flushed stems, darkest black red velvety flowers. Tender, lift and dry corms in atumn, replant in May 30" - Sold Out

 

Oxalis triangularis 'Atropurpurea' - dark purple big fourleaf clover leaves, palest pink flowers. Great houseplant, flowers year round, can live outside, but does not grow so well 6" 50p each, Sold Out

 

DAHLIAS

- traditionally considered tender but have been surviving in the ground for the last three years. If you can be bothered to dig them up, store them over the winter and pot them in April you will get an extra month of flowering from them and less trouble from slugs and snails. All £2.50 each.

'Nuit d'Ete' - (Summer Night) darkest black-red cactus-flowered Dahlia, ie completely full head of narrow quilled petals, green leaves 36" £2.50

 

'Ragged Robin' - small twisted petal single red flowers, enchanting, totally hardy for me 30" £2.50

'Twynings After Eight' - creamy white single flowers on near black matte leaves 30" Sold Out

You can include any number of seeds or permanent labelling pens or gloves with them, no extra charge in UK
