Pale pink flowers with dark veins, pink buds. Fragrant glossy leaves on upright stems. Can set fire to the aromatic oils above the plant on still summer days. Slow to establish, but long-lived. Sap can irritate skin if exposed to sunlight 2-3ft

Germination:Sow in autumn, overwinter outdoors, germinates in spring. Or mix seed with damp vermiculite, keep warm 3 weeks, put in fridge 6 weeks, then sprinkle mix on compost and put in cool light place

Soak seed for 24 hours. Sow, or mix with damp vermiculite, and keep warm for 6 weeks, then keep cold for 3 months, then gradually increase temperature to moderate. May have to repeat. Be patient
