Germination: | Sow in autumn, overwinter outdoors, germinates in spring. Or mix seed with damp vermiculite, keep warm 3 weeks, put in fridge 6 weeks, then sprinkle mix on compost and put in cool light place |
Best sown in summer and left outside till following spring. Do not disturb until true leaf is visible. Can be germinated in platic bag of vermiculite. Keep warm 1-3 months till seed germinates. Then keep cold (in fridge) 3-4 months. Then pot up several per pot and grow cool, not too wet for 1-2 years, then plant out in autumn as foliage dies down
