Puya mirabalis

Exquisite dangling pale yellow-green flared flowers from grey-purple bracts on long arching stems. Each flower only lives a few days but more are produced every day. Dying flowers are beautifully spiralled. Grey-green basal leaves stiff and prickly in compact rosette. Quick to bloom from seed. Fairly hardy if kept dry in winter 12" in leaf, 30" in flower
