Deciduous tree with attractive pinnate foliage, flushed pink when young, sometimes turning yellow in autumn. Arching panicles of small white flowers in summer. Peeling bark. Seedlings and young shoots are edible, tasting of 'beef and onions'. Easy to grow, needs sun and not very dry conditions 40ft
